If you’re thinking of doing your Will & Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), this talk is for you.
We know what you may be thinking, but no, Estate Planning is not about planning your real estate investments.
The term “Estate Planning” is not that commonly heard in Singapore yet. And we’d like to change that.
Your estate is your net worth at any point in time. It is the sum of a person’s assets – legal rights, interests and entitlements to property of any kind – less all liabilities at that time.
Whether you’re a single go-getter, newlywed with big dreams, or looking to enjoy your retirement with your partner, Estate Planning is an important process that everyone must go through to achieve peace of mind. Making your Will and LPA is only part of the bigger picture, which is Estate Planning.
In short, Estate Planning is a process of anticipating different end-life scenarios that may occur so as to reach the end goal of wealth creation and transfer to one’s loved ones.
Don’t be mistaken by the word “wealth”; wealth can mean everything from cash in the bank to property that you may own to business interests here and overseas. As such, planning one’s estate is not solely reserved for the rich—you have every right and opportunity to plan your estate.
At the talk, we will cover the process of Estate Planning and the financial and legal tools you can use to start your estate planning journey.
