Property is the single biggest purchase most Singaporeans will make in their lifetime. What will happen to your property when you die? A first HDB flat, an investment residential apartment or a commercial B2 ramp-up industrial unit—these are all subject to various laws and regulations that you must be familiar with.
Upon death, property may be treated differently depending on certain factors. Ownership structure, type of property (HDB or private) and subsequent disposal or management decisions made on the property by the beneficiaries or trustees all affect how one should dispose of one’s property after one’s passing.
At the talk, we will cover the various estate issues affecting property and the financial and legal tools you can use to ensure your properties are handled according to your wishes before your death.
